Updated 4/9/2020: Note to Our Customers Regarding COVID-19
Thursday, April 10, 2020
To Our Customers & Friends,
From the Aztech Team we sincerely hope you, your family, and friends are in good health through this very troubling time. We are doing our best to stay up to date on the CDC guidelines for the protection of our employees and customers. All our employees remain healthy to our knowledge – knock on wood!
We wanted to update you on the status of our operations at Aztech Geothermal and how that will influence our interactions with customers, likely through the end of April at this point.
What’s being Postponed?
- All new installations and system upgrades.
- Preventive system maintenance.
- All Non-emergency & non-essential service.
What are we Still Supporting?
- Emergency service calls.*
- Telephone and/or “Facetime” service.
- Design services not requiring a site visit.
- Virtual budget estimates if possible.
For some background, NYS has provided guidance on what defines “essential” and “non-essential” businesses and services. The vast majority of Aztech’s work is considered “non-essential” and needs to be postponed. Beyond the guidance from NYS, most of our installation projects are receiving rebates from NYSERDA or the Utilities, and those groups have further restricted our activities stating that no on-premises work can occur on those projects. For more details, visit NYSERDA’s COVID-19 webpage.
*We are only responding to emergency service calls where there is an immediate or pending risk to health, safety or significant property damage. Of course, there’s some judgement in the preceding sentence but we want you to know we are looking to minimize or eliminate visits to occupied homes or businesses during this time. Even work on new construction projects or unoccupied buildings are mandated to be postponed at least until the end of April.
Aztech has established a protocol for how our employees will conduct themselves while performing emergency service work at customer sites. Click here for Aztech’s Working Safely COVID-19 protocol found on our website.
Please call our office or write if you have any questions or concerns regarding any upcoming installation or service calls. If we fail to answer the phone due to reduced staffing, please leave a message or better, shoot us an email to service@aztechgeo.com.
All customers are welcome to contact me directly at the information below – including my email and cell phone.
Stay Safe!
