We have some exciting news!

Federal Tax Credit Reinstated for Geothermal Systems In the wee hours of the morning on February 9^th, the Federal Tax Credit for Geothermal Heat Pump Systems was re-instated as a part of the budget bill. Aztech and other industry participants worked hard to get it back, but it was still a bit shocking when it actually happened.

Retroactive for All of 2017 That’s particularly big news for our 2017 installation customers since you made the decision to install a system assuming the tax credit had expired. We will be sending you additional information in the next week or two, but feel free to reach out with specific questions about your 2017 taxes. We will do our best to point you in the right direction.

2018 Will be the Highest Incentive Levels for Geothermal Ever (Tax Credit + Rebate) Through 2018, New York will have the highest incentive level for geothermal systems in history. Customers for 2018 will be able to take advantage of the NYSERDA Geothermal Rebate plus the Federal Tax Credit. The combination covers over 45% of the installation costs for most systems.

Spread the Word! If you know anyone who is looking to install a new clean heating and cooling system or wants to go Net Zero by combining with PV solar – it’s never been a better time to install geothermal. The NYSERDA Rebate is expected to expire at the end of this year – so 2018 looks to be the best time to make a change to renewable heating and cooling.
