The session will provide an introduction to absorption refrigeration for commercial and industrial applications.  The basics of the absorption cycle, comparisons to other technologies and sample projects will be presented.

A tour of Aztech’s facility will follow the presentation.  The 24,000 SF building was constructed in 2006 with a standing column geothermal system and electric water source heat pumps. In 2011 a natural gas fired absorption heat pump was added to the system and heats the radiant floor in the shop.
